BA Gold USA Phone Number

Hi all,

Hope everyone is having a lovely Christmas. I am a UK based gold card holder and am in the US for the holidays and need to call BA regarding an upgrade for my flight home but unfortunately their regular line has not been very helpful (30min hold time with people that aren't very familiar with Avios upgrades, etc) and I don't have the gold hotline information for the US number. When I go to the contact us section I get the gold number for the UK but when I switch to US I get the blue hotline. Not sure if posts are allowed or if anyone would be willing to PM me the correct number.

Thanks!

You could just call the UK (depending upon where you are in the US) or ask the regular line to transfer you to the gold line.

Welcome chasechasechase

Welcome chasechasechase to Fly book and a particularly warm welcome to the British Airways forum. I hope you will find the forum interesting, but its content is only as good as the contributions made to it, so it would be great to see more of you in the future. Welcome on board.

My colleague dunk has probably got the answer for you here:

You may have just been unlucky, UuA is a common enough transaction, so maybe a case of hanging up and trying again.....

I have been told in the past, when calling a number for gold in a different country than where my account is registered that they could not help me and I had to call the number for my country. Has this changed?

Yes, a month or two ago they changed it so one can now call any service centre.

I'd definitely advise calling BAEC UK. They are still far and away more competent with UUA than anyone else and you'll be dealt with much better, especially if it's a complicate situation.

Skype or Google Voice are good options.

I became GOLD today, but the number I see is the normal one. What is it outside UK?

Once your account is fully updated (takes 1-2 days after achieving gold) then the "Contact Us" page under the BA.com Executive Club tab will show the Gold number if available in each country.

Other than the US. Inexplicably.
